Yoga Teachers

Caroline johnson

Caroline has been practicing yoga for over 10 years, with Hatha yoga holding a special place in her heart. After struggling to find a Hatha instructor in Boise, she traveled to Rishikesh, India, to complete her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. Yoga has profoundly changed her life, and she’s thrilled to share her passion with others.

Her teaching focuses on body awareness, extension, and alignment, guiding students to tune into how their bodies feel through every stage of movement. When she’s not teaching, you’ll likely find her at a bluegrass or folk concert or creating in her stained glass studio.

Emma scott singletary

Emma Scott completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2018 in North Carolina while she was in college. As a group exercise instructor with Elon University, she used her training to teach vinyasa, all-levels flow, sculpt and yin classes, in addition to pilates, cycle, and barre classes.

She is passionate about creating welcoming and inclusive classes for all students. Emma Scott began her yoga practice 10 years ago in combination with physical therapy to heal from a severe back injury. She found that mindfulness, breathwork, and movement are wonderful skills to practice in her daily life!

She enjoys mountain biking, skiing, and being on or near water any free moment she has. Emma Scott can't wait to welcome you to one of her classes and form a beautiful community of mindful movement!

CAITLYN MANLONGAT

Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, Caitlyn eventually planted in Las Vegas where she graduated UNLV with a Bachelor's of Science in Comprehensive Kinesiology. Upon her plans of becoming a physical therapist, she realized that her true passion lies within yoga. She intuitively booked her 200-hour yoga teacher training in Padangbai, Bali under Atman Yoga School in 2019, which only reaffirmed her intention and belief to teach yoga and help others benefit from the balance, wisdom, and transformation she discovered through her practice.

Caitlyn enjoys helping others move their bodies in a way that feels good in hopes to cultivate a deeper connection with their bodies and in turn, themselves. Her classes tend to feature a lot of creative sequencing to help you delve deeper into the present moment and get out of autopilot, while also challenging you and providing you with an invigorating practice. She enjoys incorporating optional arm balances and inversions for students to explore after safely preparing the body and providing awareness towards specific muscle groups. When she is not teaching yoga, she is playing with her dog, exploring, biking, and connecting in nature — hiking, backpacking, camping, rock climbing, you name it!

Ruby Wood

Ruby’s yoga journey began as a way to quiet the mind’s constant chatter. Over time, she discovered that when the mind is still, the body’s voice becomes clearer. Listening to the subtle rhythms of the body—the beat of the heart, the pulse of breath—reveals the areas that need healing. Pain, tension, and tightness are the body’s way of communicating, signaling that love and attention are required. Ruby’s approach to yoga encourages students to listen deeply to their bodies, embrace the wisdom within, and experience healing from the inside out. Ruby believes that deep down, we already know what we need. Yoga helps to usher the process of discovery, guiding us back to ourselves.

Lindsay Kolpitcke

Lindsay initially turned to yoga as an exercise practice when she was a teenager, having no idea that the physical asanas were only one small piece to all that yoga encompasses. What she immediately noticed upon beginning her practice was that she was finally able to quiet the busyness of her overactive ADHD mind. She became hooked and began practicing regularly at the age of 19. After contemplating attending a yoga teacher training program for 13 years, she enrolled in the 300 hour program at True North Yoga in 2023–which, interestingly enough, turned out to be the perfect timing.

Lindsay strives to create yoga flows that are both challenging and fun, offering moments of growth, play, and discovery. When Lindsay’s not practicing yoga, you can find her spending time with loved ones, exploring and playing outside, or creating with herbs.

Maddi Marlenee

Maddi came to find her love for yoga in 2017 after moving from Montana to Boise to pursue a degree in Nursing. Yoga taught her the divinity of the mind, body, soul connection, and more importantly what it means to love and care for your body. Maddi finally took the leap after years of being a practitioner and completed her 200hr teacher training through Flow Studio Boise. In addition to yoga, she is currently working as a nurse at St. Luke’s. With her experience in nursing she has gained knowledge that allows her to offer mindful posture alternatives, as well as injury prevention and recovery classes.

In Maddi’s classes you’ll find blends of focused vinyasa flows that emphasize strength building and rejuvenating sequences. Maddi learned from her teachers at Flow Studio the importance of helping her students find the “flow state.” Her experience in healthcare has shown her the beautiful meeting point between the western world of health and the eastern world of healing.

Maddi loves spending time outside doing allllll the things like biking, climbing, running, and nordic skiing! If she’s not making art or off emersed in activity, she’s most likely listening to live music anywhere and everywhere. One of her favorite things to offer students in her class is unique music, spreading all over the board from retro folk to modern indie to alternative rock. Maddi uses music to allow the body and mind the ability to center and find the flow state.
